Information you provide

Pastor Compass receives your account email, church profile, and the sermons, plans, notes, contacts, appointments, and other ministry records you choose to save. We use this information to provide your private workspace and requested features.

Support reports

When you report a problem, we store your account identifier, email, category, subject, messages and report history so the app owner can respond and track resolution. The owner may add private support notes. Ministry records, screenshots and device logs are not attached automatically. Reports and replies remain available for support follow-up; contact support to request removal. Deleting workspace data does not delete support reports. Do not include confidential pastoral information, passwords or payment details.

Service providers

Supabase processes sign-in; our hosting and database provider stores app records; Resend may deliver account or reminder email. If you choose to start a membership, Stripe processes payment information and manages subscription billing. We do not store card numbers in Pastor Compass.

AI sermon drafting

When you request an AI sermon draft, we send the sermon title, Scripture reference, and sermon goal you enter to OpenAI to generate the draft. Avoid including confidential pastoral or personal information in these fields. Our app requests that the generated response not be stored through the API’s response-storage feature; this does not guarantee zero retention by the provider. Review and edit generated material before using it, and save the draft if you want to keep it in your workspace.

AI Ministry Advisor

When you consent to an Advisor request, we send your current question, the Church Memory you have approved, and the selected goal when making a plan to OpenAI. Older conversations and pastoral care records are not included. Editing Church Memory revokes its approval. The API request disables response storage; provider retention rules may still apply. Saved Advisor memory, goals and drafts remain in your account until you delete them. The main workspace backup does not include Advisor records; download a separate readable Advisor archive. That archive does not support automatic restore.

Advisor usage record retention

We keep minimal Advisor usage and retry-protection records for 90 days to enforce allowances and prevent abuse. These include an account identifier, request identifier, request fingerprint, request type, timestamp, status and result identifier; they do not contain raw questions, Church Memory or generated draft text. Minimal deletion-protection records follow the same period from their last update. Records become eligible for removal after 90 days and are removed by the next daily cleanup, normally within 24 hours. Deleting saved ministry content does not immediately erase these minimal records or reset usage limits. After that period, an old request identifier may be treated as a new request. This policy applies to the primary Advisor database; hosting backups and provider records follow their separate retention arrangements. Existing billing and sermon usage records are unaffected.

Sensitive ministry information

Do not enter medical diagnoses, counseling disclosures, abuse evidence, financial account numbers, or information that belongs in a protected professional system. Use the minimum necessary detail and follow your church’s privacy, safeguarding, and retention policies. Pastor Compass is not an emergency or clinical record system.

Your choices

You can download a backup or delete saved workspace data in Account settings. To request help with account deletion or data questions, email pastorcompass.admin@gmail.com. Deleting saved workspace data is not the same as deleting your sign-in account; contact us for the latter.

Security and changes

Access to saved records requires a signed-in account. No online service can promise absolute security. We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the current version here.
